Research & Innovation Project Management Services

Kite Innovation can manage a wide variety of research & innovation projects on behalf of companies, academics and business support organisations. In particular expertise in the management of FP7 projects is offered to organisations that are coordinating projects. FP7 Project Managment Support services cover all the managment and reporting requirements of the Commission allowing the coordinator to focus on leading the scientific and research aspects of the project without concern for the bureaucratic load of managing FP7 projects. Other services include;

 

  • Preparing or evaluating business plan proposals seeking R&D funding
  • Identifying potential, and stimulating demand, for research and development and knowledge exchange amongst the businesses in a specific region
  • Brokering linkages between the private sector and academia.
  • Stimulating and increasing the ability of businesses to undertake in-house research and development through sharing expertise.
  • Hosting events to promote the benefits of research and development and showcase best practice.
  • Attracting relevant research and development to an area through identifying opportunities for existing businesses and potential inward investment.
  • Providing a signposting and referral service to other forms of support (e.g. Knowledge Transfer Partnerships, Grants for R&D, TSB etc)
  • Promoting the uptake of additional, specialist human resources to facilitate research and development.
  • Providing Innovation Support to sector based businesses on behalf of regional development bodies in key sectors, such as Healthcare, Life Sciences, ICT, Renewable Energy, Nano Technology and Environmental Management
  • Delivering best practice workshops in the management of the product development process

    Dundee - Alison McLeod has joined the Kite team in the Dundee office based at the University. Alison is a laser physicist and will support the company's portfolio of laser projects.

    Huddersfield - Jane Tillson and Fleur Geoghegan have joined Kite based in the company's Huddersfield offices. Jane has a 1st class degree in Biology from the University of Leeds and Fleur has a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Birmingham.

    KTP- Simon Bobbitt has been appointed by the School of Computing at the University of Dundee as a KTP Associate to develop Kite's use of ICT. The KTP project aims to equip Kite with the tools to provide advanced search capabilities and secure operating efficiencies.
